Ronnie came into our lives over 42 years ago when he married Kim and has had a big impact upon us ever since! As a proud Dutchman he introduced us “from the island” to many Dutch customs and things such as Genever - when good times were had by all, including Bill and Brenda, so that we have many fond memories to remember him by! When Joanne and Victoria came along he became proud in a different way and even recently, he would point into the distance from his Zomerpark bedroom to tell us where he imagined them both to live and work. Always full of surprises, it was great to get our own back and see his face when we turned up in Germany without him knowing for his 60th birthday! It is sad that we have all lost him to Corona virus and it’s so cruel that it is also keeping us apart now, when we should all be together. We will always remember and miss Ron with a smile on our faces – he was one of life’s true characters.
Ronnie will always hold a special place in my heart. He always made me laugh, welcomed us as family and made us feel at ease. Mart enjoyed many chats with him. Sleep tight Ronnie. Sending strength to your wonderful family that they will treasure their precious memories with a smile 💕
Lieve familie, wij wensen jullie veel sterkte en steun toe in deze moeilijke tijd.
Sending my deepest sympathies to those Uncle Ronnie has left behind. I'm sure you will remember many happy times you spent together. One thing I will always remember about him is his strong opinions that he was never afraid to share, from politics to football. He took so much pride when Holland beat England in an all important match. I have fond memories of those family 'on mass' trips to Holland as a child, greeted by uncle Ronnie as 'Lollipop'! So from your Lollipop, rest in peace Uncle Ronnie, you will be missed.
Ron You were my beloved husband, my best friend i miss You so much it hurts. I would look out of the Window upstairs and You were so near but sometimes so far. Now I look out of the Window and I know your not there. So I look upto the sky and I know You are looking down at Joanne, Victoria and our very special granddaughter Olivia and myself. I know it Will be hard but I have to carry on, but i know deep down one day we Will be together again. Until then i Will hold on to the happy times we had together. I Will always love You, your living life Kim xxx
